March 31st IRC Meeting
Tuesday, 31 March 2009 15:27

Log of Meeting

At 12 minutes past 5pm UTC time, today's meeting officially started. This time it started with four people and eventually reached having a total of 6  At 5:30 pm UTC time, the meeting came to a close.

To recap the meeting, it was determined that we had the choice of either making a new engine to solve our problem, or editing an existing one, such as Clearlooks. Making a new engine would allow us to work quickly and with out the worry of a learning curve, but if we were to edit an existing engine, much of the work needed to make an engine would already be finished and we would overall reach a higher level of quality.

Eventually a vote was called and the majority decided that it was overall better to work with an existing engine, despite the learning curve.   The meeting was disbanded soon after.  Another meeting will be held on the following Tuesday, April 7th 2009 at 6pm UTC in fur-dev.  If this time contradicts with anyone's schedule, please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. This second meeting will be held to discuss this meeting will be to choose an engine to us and edit.  If you feel like you can add anything to this discussion please join us.  Remember, just because you're a beginner, it doesn't mean you can't help.  Thank you
